Tried one of my favorite dishes... Beef Fajitas.... OMFG... I could chew my flip flop easier.... Had one bite chew for couple minutes... Then gave second try... Spit that out and gave the crap back.... Sad as as my friend Jim spoke well of this place... First impressions.... Yea.. Nope... Not coming back. Now I need to find dinner somewhere.... #unhappy

Second best Mexican restaurant in Cape Canaveral. Great prices. Super friendly staff. Cheap beer specials and food. Has the Nascar races and sports. Great place for lunch if you work at the port. Fast and cheap.

I'm sure they've got some decent meals but don't expect more than you would at your local townie bar, especially the ones in smaller towns. Don't eat the "queso." You're stomach will thank me tomorrow. If you prefer Nascar driving sports bars, this is your place. If you're craving halfway decent Mexican food - this is not.

We will never eat there again. I ordered the chicken fajitas and they were completely tastless. Not even the peppers and onions had taste. The salsa was huge chunks of tomato with some red sauce and the chips were stale. The rice was ok but I've had better refried beans out if a can. We wanted to give it a try and we did but we won't be going back there again.

This place is amazing! My man and i moved here from cali and are always looking for mexican food. Now its not traditional food but it is definitely good. As soon as we sat down we were given fresh tortilla chips with salsa. We got a diet coke and a sweet tea. We both ordered the juanita platter. It came with a chicken taco, one beef and one chicken enchilada, beans, and rice. We both tore into our tacos first. Let me tell you they were not your average taco. They were so much more. The hard tortilla shell was freshly made. Everything about it was amazing. They had two homemade hot sauces. One was a jabenero sauce and the other was a jalapeno sauce. Outstanding! Everything was so tasty and filling. The waitress kept our drinks coming right on time. We got out of there for 24$ not including the tip. Overall it was a great experience. I plan to be back and try everything on the menu.

Your confederate flag took away our appetites. But the hurtful symbol of racism ain't going to be good for your business. We'd like to spend our money here. Please do what's right, not what's "your rights".

Okay, folks, don't come to La Cantina expecting a culinary trip to gourmet Mexico. You'll be disappointed like the Yelpers who hold places like this to ridiculously high standards. Look, this place is a neighborhood dive bar at its finest. I went there last night with another couple and we had a good experience. Not an off-the-hook great experience, but we were expecting good and that's exactly what the folks at La Cantina delivered. For that, I give four stars. Our server, Courtney, appeared to be solo on a Wednesday evening, but she held tough and gave us prompt, attentive and cheerful service throughout our meal. As is the custom, we wrote our names on dollar bills and taped them to the ceiling. My wife and I got out of there for $29.00 before tip for two entrees, an extra side, and 6 beers. The entire bill was less than the tip I left the night before for dinner at the Fat Snook. Awesome! If you're a douche bag who thinks every dining experience should be a trip to The Ritz, stay away. By the way, the locally made hot sauce is nothing short of fantastic and the bathrooms were clean so beware of elitist Yelpers, lol!

I'm not really sure how to rate La Cantina....if you're looking for a dive bar with cheap American beer and sticky bathrooms then I guess you'll be happy here. However, from the looks of the place outside and their big, festive La Cantina sign, I was expecting a lot more! I was getting excited for some good down home Mexican cooking and maybe a margarita. However, we walked in and my brain spun a bit and I almost walked out to check again that I didn't just enter a time warp. No craft beer only 'Merican labels here, no food that night, they don't make margaritas because they don't have a liquor license....a Mexican place that doesn't make margaritas...huh?! The bartender was so friendly and we had a good chat with a few of the locals but sadly, if you're visiting from out of town, I'd say skip it.

Not a single bite of Mexican food was consumed that evening! Cold beer and a "cheese crisp", which is a tostada covered with melted cheese and jalapeño, filled me up before my tostadas (beans only) arrived. I had a few bites and it was pretty good but I was just too full. Everyone else said their food was good but probably offensive to the Mexican cuisine moniker. If you go understanding that you will be served some pretty tasty gringo food and ice cold beer by a very friendly person who does her job well then you'll have a nice time. If you want Mexican food keep walking. This trip we were here to eat but the bar area seemed to have some salty folks enjoying their beverages so I'm looking forward to coming back and sitting up there. Not a tourist in sight.

I kept hearing how amazing the food was here. We decided to go last night and check it out. The nachos were awesome, but everything else lacked flavor. My husband had the fajita sandwich and i had chicken fajitas. The wait staff was great and the place was very clean (altho from outside you would imagine it wasn't going to be) It is probably a really fun place to go and hang out and drink and just get tacos. (i heard the tacos were great)

Mexican? Chips were stale, salsa was ketchup a few chunks of onion, and the beef and chicken had no real flavor. Very blah. It's a local dive bar. If you want to drink cheap beer and listen to David Allen Coe on the jukebox, this is your place. Just eat before you get here.

Think local watering hole that serves tacos. Don't go for the"Mexican" food. This border-raised gringo was sorely disappointed.

The food is pretty average. I do like their hamburgers, but haven't been impressed with other fare so far. Many locals love this place and are regulars. This is no Chili's or TGIF...it's got it's own character and hasn't changed much over the years. On the good side, it's not jammed with tourists.

We are in Cape Canaveral for a week, and after a horrible experience at Milliken's Reef (please see my review before you go to that place), I needed to post a review of this little cantina. This is a small, kinda grimy, dive bar that sells some mexican food. However, we went for happy hour, had a seven dollar pitcher of Amber Bock, and some $1.50 Tacos. The tacos and beer were great, the salsa, not so much. The service here was friendly and homey. Bottom line, this place is a good value and has a quirky, local vibe. I would go here a hundred nights before I would go to Millikens Reef for one.
